On 28-30 June 2010 the Society and Democracy Association (Turkey) with its partner, Analitical Centre on Globalization and Regional Cooperation organised a Multi-track diplomacy workshop "Common Future for Turkey and Armenia Citizen's Diplomacy Project" in Istanbul. Dr. Edward Kaufman from University of Maryland has facilitated the workshop that 20 university students from Armenia and Turkey had participated. The participants had the opportunity to have a consensus regarding to the Armenian-Turkish relations. |

Helicopter airport perspectives of Russian occupants

By the end of August a decision is expected to be made by the Russian authorities on the construction of two helicopter sites in the Java district of the occupied Tskhinvali region. There appears to be a serious disagreement between the Russian occupiers and the Tskhinvali separatist government on the issue. |

President Dmitry Medvedev Arrives in Abkhazia

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has arrived in Abkhazia on the first ever visit by the head of the Russian state since Russia recognized the independence of Abkhazia two years ago, RIA Novosti reports.
At his meeting with Abkhazian de-facto President Sergey Bagapsh, Medvedev said that Russia would develop comprehensive relations with Abkhazia. |
